Tattoo Theme (Ed Hardy Style) for iPod Touch and iPhone 1.0
by Cloudbase Skylabs

http://www.cloudbase.co.nz

Firstly, this README and all Icons and filenames etc. are in ENGLISH. If you can translate this image set/README into your native language, please feel free to submit it to me so I can include it on the website (especially needed are German, Thai and Dutch language versions). I would really appreciate it, as would your fellow speakers!

This is a Tattoo Theme (Ed Hardy Style), Customize and SummerBoard Theme set for iPod Touch/iPhone. It features 1 x Carrier Image set, 8 x Slider (Main, Power, Call) Bar sets, 2 x Battery sets, 4 x Sliders (Main, Power, Call), 5 x Highlight Masks, 4 x Docks, 4 x SummerBoard Wallpapers, 5 x Standard Wallpapers, and 51 Icons (to date, more to come in next update) for use on your iPod Touch/iPhone. All in one convenient package! A cutting edge modern/traditional fusion of styles.

Please note! This theme is Ed Hardy STYLE and does not actually use ANY Ed Hardy specific graphics. These images are sourced from general Tattoo Parlour flash cards (the posters you see on the walls in tattoo parlours with example tattoo styles on them).

HOW TO INSTALL
**************

These instructions assume you have prior knowledge of using SSH to FTP into your iPod Touch or iPhone (sounds harder than it actually is).
For this procedure you will generally need an SFTP client like WinSCP, Transmit, Fugu etc to connect to your iPod/iPhone (via WiFi).
This theme requires (obviously) a jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch, preferably with version 1.1.3 firmware, although any is fine (just pay close attention to where to put files).
You also must have SummerBoard for 1.1.3 installed, as well as Customize (available from installer. if you have problems try the version at this site: http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37136 )

If you are already confused, you need help. Please visit a site like iPod Touch Fans (http://www.ipodtouchfans.com) or ModMyiFone (http://www.modmyifone.com) for more detailed information on Jailbreaking and setting up your iPod/iPhone for external computer access.

Once you have downloaded and unzipped the package, place the folders inside "Tattoo Theme" into their respective folders on your iPod Touch or iPhone.

INSTALL IN CUSTOMIZE
MAIN FOLDER: /private/var/mobile/Library/Customize

Folder: /Tattoo Theme/Install in Customize/ ----> put all these folders into /private/var/mobile/Library/Customize (for 1.1.3 firmware) or /private/var/root/Library/Customize (for 1.1.2 or below firmware). They MUST go in their respective areas.

Example: /Tattoo_BarImages should go into ----> /private/var/mobile/Library/Customize/BarImages/
Example: /Tattoo_Battery1 and Tattoo_Battery2 should go into ----> /private/var/mobile/Library/Customize/BatteryImages/
This will enable alternative image sets to appear in Customize, under their respective menus.

INSTALL IN DOCKSWAP
MAIN FOLDER: /private/var/mobile/Library/DockSwap
Folder: /Tattoo Theme/Install in DockSwap/ ----> put the folder Tattoo_Docks into /private/var/mobile/Library/DockSwap (or /private/var/root/Library/DockSwap for 1.1.2 or below).
This will enable alternative docks to appear in Customize, under Dock Backgrounds (at top of menu).

INSTALL IN SUMMERBOARD
MAIN FOLDER: /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/
Folder: /Tattoo Theme/Install in SummerBoard/ ----> put the folder "Tattoo SMB" into the directory /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/ on your device. This will enable the Tattoo SMB theme to show up in SMBPrefs (SummerBoard Preferences).

WALLPAPERS
Folder: /Tattoo Theme/Wallpaper (to Sync)/
Please SYNC your main (unlock screen) wallpapers to your iPhone/iPod Touch like usual. This includes all the files within /Tattoo Theme/Wallpapers (to Sync)/.

1.1.3 WEATHER ICON FIX
Folder: /Tattoo Theme/1.1.3 Weather Icon Fix/
Please, ONLY INSTALL if you have trouble seeing the main Weather icon through Customize (see option at bottom) or SummerBoard (it has Weather icon included in this theme, so should activate automatically - but may not, depending on your current software).
Firstly, read the README.TXT in the /1.1.3 Weather Icon Fix/ folder. Be sure to BACKUP your original Info.plist which is located in /Applications/Weather.app/Info.plist on your iPod Touch or iPhone (for example, just rename it to Info.backup). Then upload this fixed version of Info.plist to the same location. Restart your device and you should see your custom Weather icon.
This fix ONLY removes the default icon from Weather.app. It does nothing else.

PLEASE: REMEMBER TO USE /root/ INSTEAD OF /mobile/ IF YOU ARE ON FIRMWARE 1.1.2 OR BELOW (to check, look at: Settings, General, About - Version)
IF YOU ARE ON 1.1.3 OR ABOVE, YOU MUST INSTALL IN /mobile/ OR CUSTOMIZE AND SUMMERBOARD WILL NOT WORK. For an updated version for 1.1.3, please see the link in "How to Install" section.

HOW TO CUSTOMIZE
****************

TO USE THEME - Tattoo Theme (Ed Hardy Style), Customize and SummerBoard Theme for iPod Touch/iPhone

1. Ensure you have transferred files to correct directories on your iPod Touch/iPhone, then open SMBPrefs.app (SummerBoard).

2. Start Summerboard (SMBPrefs). Go to Themes, and select "Tattoo SMB". Activate and exit Summerboard. Your iPod Touch or iPhone will again restart Springboard.
WARNING! If you set your Dock using Customize, PLEASE DISABLE THE THEME DOCK IN SUMMERBOARD before finishing. Or it may show the wrong one.
(WARNING: This is the first version of Tattoo Theme, and as such will very likely have many application icons missing. If you feel confident enough, simply rename some of your unused icons in /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/Tattoo SMB/Icons/ to something you actually use...for example, if you don't use VNotes, but have iZoo, rename VNotes.png to iZoo.png, and then it will appear).

3. Once you have restarted your Springboard and unlocked, you should see half of your new theme (icons, wallpaper, dock etc). To continue editing main system graphics (unlock screen, sliders, bars, carrier images, etc) please open Customize.app.

4. Working from top to bottom of the Customize list, go through each option as listed, browse through and select the desired Tattoo graphic for each option (these are your personal choice as there are many options):
Dock Background (can also change by manually renaming Wallpaper.png files in /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/Tattoo SMB/)
	Carrier Image
	Call Bar
	Bottom Bar
	Power Bar
	Battery Images
	Main Slider
	Power Slider
	Call Slider
	Highlight Mask
Weather Icons (to set Weather icon on 1.1.3 firmware. If it doesn't work, please see link to download new version of Customize in "How to Install" section)

You can of course mix and match these options as you see fit.

5. If you prefer, you can change the 'Slide to Unlock' text to nothing (just press space) in the "Springboard Strings" options in Customize.

6. Exit Customize. Your iPod Touch or iPhone will briefly restart Springboard. You may continue after unlocking.

7. Set your Unlock screen wallpaper to any of the supplied Unlock Wallpapers, by your usual method (ie; Settings>General>Wallpaper, or select it from the Photo application)

8. Complete! Enjoy!

NOTES
*****

This theme was painstakingly created by Cloudbase Skylabs using original Tattoo flash cards. It features many new and innovative designs for the iPhone/iPod Touch platform, such as wide use of transparency, color, and non-standard size images. There are multiple colors available of many Wallpapers for your pleasure.

If you enjoy it, please let us know. We really do appreciate feedback.

Unfortunately, this theme has only been tested to work 100% on an iPod Touch, 16gb, 1.1.3 firmware. If you would like to donate to the Cloudbase iPhone-buying Fund to show your appreciation, you are more than welcome to do so. Even 0.50c is welcome. Please visit http://www.cloudbase.co.nz/ and look for a donations button (won't be hard to find :))

If any iPhone-specific related problems appear, please do not hesitate to contact us. We do not have iPhones so can't be totally sure of everything.

AND PLEASE, *DO NOT* HOT-LINK OR MIRROR (make available for download elsewhere) THESE FILES. THEY ARE THE PROPERTY OF CLOUDBASE SKYLABS AND ONLY AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION FROM cloudbase.co.nz . (I am a poor student and am trying to make ends meet. My website and themes are a hobby. Please sympathise by at the very least NOT copying and re-distributing this work).
